How do I sign up for a trial lesson?
All prospective students begin with a paid trial lesson. This is an assessment to gauge the student’s learning needs, understand their unique connection to music, and ultimately to see if our program is a good fit. If for some reason we believe another program/teacher would be better support the student’s learning journey, we will provide recommendations.
What instruments do you teach?
Currently we offer piano, drum, vibraphone, marimba, and general percussion lessons. As well as, songwriting, composition, music theory, and improvisation lessons.
We’re also connected to an amazing community of teachers who provide lessons on other instruments. So be sure to reach out if you’re interested in another instrument.
Do you offer in-home lessons?
Yes, we offer in-home lessons in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Do you offer classes?
Currently we do not offer group classes. Our program is designed for individual growth and support. These lessons do provide occassional group projects, activities, and music shares.
What is the youngest student you teach?
Starting age varies, but for the most part we teach students 5 years old and up. Occassionally we teach some 4 year old students.
Here’s a blog post that can help you determine if your student is ready to start music lessons.
And you’re always welcome to reach out to us about your situation and schedule a trial lesson.
Can I enroll my student mid-year?
Yes, we enroll students throughout the year. However, if you’re enrolling after September 3rd, there are significantly less time slots available.
So please contact us right away if you’re interested in enrolling.
How much do lessons cost?
|30 min||45 min||60 min|
Do you recommend other teachers for other instruments?
Absolutely! We are connected to an amazing community of educators and musicians, and we love recommending folx. Essentially the more people creating and expressing themselves the better. Whether that’s with our program or another.
Just send us an email with your inquiry and we’ll get back to you with some ideas.
